Welcome to Nanotechnology and Biodelivery Laboratory
We are devoted to the fabrication of edible nanoparticles from natural biomaterials as oral delivery platform to improve absorption and enhance biological efficacy of bioactive compounds. We study the physical and chemical interactions among food biomaterials to design gastrointestinal-stable nanostructures for encapsulation and delivery applications. We not only discover and characterize natural nanomaterials from food sources, but also engineer their nanostructures via physical and chemical functionalization for a wide range of applications in food and nutrition.
